Motion Geometry: Translations, Reflections and Rotations...


1)Check your math motion geometry skills by doing three multiple choice practice quizzes for this chapter. 

 2)Post details of one question from one of the quizzes that you got wrong.  

 3)Tell why you got it wrong and whether you understand how to solve that problem now.

    I got #9 wrong on the first test because I miscounted the number of squares. Now I understand the question and know how to make it better next time.

    I got question 7 in the first lesson wrong. I count the slide rule from the shaded shape to the original shape instead of counting the slide rule from the original shape to the shaded shape. I know what I did wrong and I know how to fix it.

    I got question #8 wrong on the 2nd quiz because I thought it said it was a reflection of the brown not the green. I understand how to solve it now.

    I got question 3 wrong because i thought it was 3 prime but it was 4 prime.

    I got the question wrong were it says in the first quiz the blue triangle has been rotated to the pink triangle then it shows you a picture of the two triangles then it says what is the rotation and I put it counter clockwise when it was clockwise. The question that I got wrong I know understand because it was a simple mistake that I did not check when I was checking over my work. I now understand that question and a few others from the other tests. – Jaden 

    1. I got 1, 8 & 9 rouge because I got the colors mixed up with each other. That was on Lesson 1: Performing Translations.
    2. I got 5 & 3 rouge because I made a careless mistake and I had thought that I had preset on it and so I should check my answers over again before I see if I got any rouge. On Lesson #3: Performing Reflections on a Grid.
    3. I got 6 & 8 on Lesson#4: Performing Rotations J M

    1. I got question 9 on performing rotations wrong I got ccw and cw mixed up..
