  1. 1. When Kristi had David dance I don’t think she was being mean I just think it made Catherine uncomfortable. Just because she wasn’t upset by it doesn’t mean Catherine won’t be.
    2. Near the end of the book she decides to take Jason to the dance, and tell Kristi about how Jason can’t walk or speak.
    3. If Catherine takes Jason to the dance the risk is she will run into Kristi, and she will find out about Jason. I think that was a risk willing to take.
    4. At the dance Catherine gives up try to hide who Jason is, and in the final chapter she stops trying to stop David from putting toys in the fish tank.

  2. When Kristi had David dance in Catherine’s room she was being mean. Even though David wasn’t upset by it Catherine should have stopped the music.
The choices that Catherine makes near the end of the book that show growth on her part are taking Jason to the dance, allowing David to go to the dance and not getting mad at David for putting a toy in the fish tank.
Catherine risks getting embarrassed when she invites Jason to the dance. I think that risk was worth it because she might lose her friendship with Jason.
Catherine gives up hiding Jason’s disability at the dance. She gives up being strict in the final chapter with David.

  3. 1. I think she is not being Mean she is just showing Catherine how fun it is to dance in public. I don’t think Catherine should have turned the music off.
    2. She changed because she now changed he rule of no dancing and she wanted to go to the dance with Jason.
    3. The risk of taking Jason to the dance is that Ryan and Kristi might see them. I think it was worth it.
    4. Catherine gives up expecting David will follow all of her rules.

    1. Jesica, you say that Catherine "gives up expecting David will follow all of her rules". Has she grown,or has she just been worn down by David?

  4. 1. Kristi wasn’t trying to be mean, I think that Catherine was thinking that Kristi wanted to make David look silly. Even if it didn’t bother David Catherine stopped it because she thought it made her look bad, I don’t think that she should’ve turned it off.
    2. Catherine invited Jason to the dance and that was the change in her because in the beginning of the book Catherine always thought of what others thought of her instead of doing what made her happy.
    3. She risked on Kristi’s friendship because she thought that Kristi wouldn’t want to be her friend after seeing who Jason was in real life, I thought that it was worth it because even if she loses Kristi’s friendship she will still gain Jason’s.
    4. She gives up on hiding who Jason is and his disability, I think that she gave up the anger and the small piece of hatred on David in the last chapter.

  5. Yes it was mean of Kristi to put music on because she just met Catherin, and no Catherin shouldn’t have done that because it made their relationship even more cliff hanging.
    2. telling the truth to Jason put growth in Catherins part.
3.Catherin risks her friendship with Kristi, yes that risk was a good choice because Kristi was not what she was expecting and she didn’t like doing any of the things Catherin wanted to do.
4.Catherin gives up her friendship with Kristi, and in the final chapter she gives up her hate for David.

  6. I don’t think Kristi was trying to be mean, Catherine told Kristi no but I think she could here from the loud music, I think it is good that Catherine turned the music off because David was stepping on the posters and all the markers.
Catherine goes to the dance with Jason and started dancing with people watching.
Catherine risked people staring at her and Jason because no one else had a friend there with disabilities.
Catherine at the dance gives up her rule about dancing, Catherine gives up the Frog and Toad thing with David

  7. I think Kristi is not being mean because she does not know about David. I think that I would have turned the music off but before I did I would danced a little bit. I think that her biggest thing that changed the story was when she was taking Jason to the dance because that must have been hard for her because she knew that Kristi was going to be there with Ryan. I think she did not want to take him to the dance because he would be the only person there who had a wheelchair. I think that the risk was worth taking but Kristi seemed upset when she saw Jason. She gives up at the dance her ‘friendship’ with Catherine. I think that it was good that the girls stopped being friends because Catherine had to try too hard to do everything for Kristi and I think that Ryan ruined their friendship because he liked Kristi and Catherine hated him, and I feel that In the book Ryan was always with Kristi and you could tell that when they were going swimming that Catherine was a second choice. I think that she gives up not really being nice to David and I feel they will be better friends now.-Jaden

  8. 1. I think Kristi was being mean to David because they just met and Catherine shouldn’t of let Kristi to that.
    2. Catherine makes some good choices at the end of the book and some are not so good. Like at the end of the book when Catherine said she didn’t want to go to the community dance because Jason was autistic but then she didn’t care that Jason was autistic and went to the dance with him.
    3. I think Catherine risked nothing, at the end of the book I think Catherine made a good choice taking Jason to the dance and that telling Kristi about Jason was good.
    4. Catherine gives up the real truth about Jason to Kristi. She actually stops being embarrassed of David.

  9. 1.Kristi isn’t being mean, I think Catherine just assumed that Kristi was being mean. I don’t think Catherine should have turned off the music especially if David doesn’t mind.
2.Catherine chooses to go to the dance with Jason and face Ryan and Kristi. She also lets David come to the dance and doesn’t get mad at David when he puts a toy in the fish tank.
3.Catherine risks being judged by other people but more importantly Ryan and Kristi seeing Jason and finding out the truth which Catherine didn’t tell them.
4.We never find out what happens with Kristi so maybe Catherine gave something up with Kristi. I think Catherine gave up her anger towards David and was trying to be more patient with him.

  17. 1. I do not think Catherin should have stopped the music she should have just moved the posters and the markers so they could dance.
